<p>Mrs. Wokasch&#8217;s Funeral Rites Held Here Today</p>
<p>Funeral services were held this afternoon at Fairmont St. John&#8217;s E &amp; R church for Mrs. Henry Wokasch, 1017 N. Prairie avenue. She died Friday at Fairmont Community hospital following a stroke suffered the previous day.</p>
<p><a title="Amanda Wokasch Elfert" href="http://www.geni.com/people/Amanda-Wokasch-Elfert-/5086507897900031432">Amanda M. Elfert</a> was born Feb. 9, 1885, at Elkander, Ia., coming to Rutland township as a child with her parents, William and Bertha Elfert.</p>
<p>She was married to Henry Wokasch March 1, 1904 at the West Rutland church. They farmed until 1921 when they moved to Fairmont.</p>
<p>Surviving are her husband and one son, Elmer, of Fairmont. There ae two grandchildren. Five sisters are Mrs. Joe Wokasch, Mrs. Tom Wokasch, Mrs. Herbert Malo, Mrs. Lenore Hoppe, all of Fairmont, and Mrs. Claude Curry of Portland, Ore.</p>
<p>Services at 2pm today were conducted by the Rev. Harry Stroessner, pastor of St. John&#8217;s and burial was in Fairmont Fairview Memorial park. Olson funeral home of Fairmont was in charge of arrangements.</p>

SERVICES HELD FOR LEO WOKASCH, 49<br />

<a href="http://www.geni.com/people/Leo-Wokasch/4765939260550065249">Leo Wokasch</a>, 49, a lifetime resident of Frazee, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1968, at St. Mary&#8217;s Hospital in Detroit Lakes after a long illness.</p>
<p>Funeral services were held Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee. Rev. Fr. Joseph Mulvey read the Requiem MAss at 9 am. Burial was made at the church cemetery. Pallbearers were James Boltz, James Mayer, John Gotschy, Leonard Schrandt, Pete Riewer and Paul Joachim.</p>
<p>Mr. Wokasch was born at Frazee April 9, 1919. He never married. He worked at the Lakeland Turkey Plant here until 1967 when illness forced his retirement.</p>
<p>He was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Frazee and of Knights of Columbus Council 3166 at Detroit Lakes.</p>
<p>Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Catherine Wokasch, Frazee; five brothers and two sisters, Norbert of Frazee; Ignatius and Julian of St. Paul; George, Joe, Clara and Catherine (Mrs. Leonard O&#8217;Toole), all of Minneapolis, and 15 nieces and nephews. &#8212; (Furey Funeral Home)</p>
