Ignatius Adam Wokasch, 75, Sedona, Ariz., died Tuesday, March 10, 1998, in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Phoenix.
Mr. Wokasch, also known as Iggy, was born April 6, 1922, in Frazee, Minn., where he grew up and attended school. He also attended Moorhead State University. He taught school in Frazee. Later he started a construction company in North Dakota. On Sept. 25, 1950, he married Lillian Knettle in St. Cloud, Minn. He worked for the Veterans Administration as a loan officer for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife; five sons, Mike (Mary), Greg (Tanya), both Madison, Wis., Tim (Janet), Wendell, N.C., Tom (Laura), Cottonwood, Ariz., Bob, St. Paul; three daughters, Mary (Bob) Bruenig, Fort Worth, Texas, Jeannie Wokasch, Honolulu, Teresa (John) Rogers, St. Paul; three brothers, George, Frazee, Julian, Norbert, both Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Clara Wokasch, Kathryn (Leonard) O’Toole, both Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation: Today from 4 to 8, with a prayer service at 6:30 in Furey Funeral Home, Frazee, and one hour before the funeral in the church.
Funeral: Saturday at noon in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frazee.
Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Frazee.
